Embark on a day filled with history and culture in the renowned academic city of Oxford. We begin our journey from your designated pick-up point.
Our first stop is Trinity College, founded in 1555, known for its beautiful courtyards and architecture. As you stroll through the college, you’ll feel the deep academic heritage spanning centuries and learn about many of its notable alumni.
Next, we’ll visit the Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera. The Bodleian Library, Oxford University’s main research library, houses over 13 million volumes and is one of the oldest public libraries in the world. Radcliffe Camera, with its iconic dome, is a landmark of Oxford.
We then proceed to explore the Bridge of Sighs, Queen’s College, and Magdalen College. The Bridge of Sighs is an elegant bridge named for the anxious sighs of students before exams. Queen’s College and Magdalen College are famed for their historic architecture and stunning gardens, offering picturesque views.
For lunch, we will take you to a selected Italian restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious Italian cuisine, replenishing your energy for the rest of the day.
After lunch, we will visit Christ Church, one of Oxford’s largest and most famous colleges. Christ Church is not only architecturally magnificent but also served as the filming location for the Hogwarts Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies, drawing countless fans.
You will then have the option to either wander through the local market, purchasing unique local goods, or continue exploring other attractions in Oxford.
Next, we will head to either the Ashmolean Museum or the Museum of the History of Science, depending on your interests. The Ashmolean Museum is the UK’s first public museum, housing an extensive collection of art and artifacts. The Museum of the History of Science showcases the development of Oxford University and its treasured collections.
Finally, a private vehicle will return you to your designated drop-off point, concluding this fulfilling and historically rich tour of Oxford.
