About

Jurassic Coast

Designated as a World Heritage Site, it records 185 million years of geological history and is a popular destination for archaeology and nature enthusiasts.

Main attractions include:

  • Durdle Door, located on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England, is a natural limestone arch renowned for its spectacular geological landscape and clear waters. It is the only World Heritage Site in England.
  • Lulworth Cove is a natural crescent-shaped bay in Dorset, recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This bay is famous for its unique geological structure and magnificent natural scenery. The steep cliffs surrounding it form a natural barrier, resulting in relatively calm waters within the bay, making it suitable for various water activities. From the trails beside the bay, one can climb to higher ground for a panoramic view of the entire Lulworth Cove and the distant Jurassic Coastline, which is truly breathtaking.
  • Hiking Trail: It takes about 30 minutes to walk from Lulworth Cove to the nearby Durdle Door, allowing visitors to enjoy the stunning coastal scenery along the way.

Southampton

A vibrant port city on England’s south coast, steeped in maritime history and modern charm. It’s the largest city in Hampshire and a key gateway to the world thanks to its deep-water harbor and cruise terminals. Historical Significance includes: –

  • Titanic Departure Point: The RMS Titanic famously set sail from Southampton in 1912.
