About

Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a small British Overseas Territory at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, bordering Spain. Covering just 6.7 square kilometers, it has a population of around 34,000. The iconic Rock of Gibraltar dominates the landscape, home to the only wild monkeys in Europe, the Barbary macaques.

Strategically located at the entrance to the Mediterranean, Gibraltar has long been of military significance. It has an extensive network of tunnels, many used during World War II. The territory has a unique blend of British and Spanish influences, with English as the official language but widespread use of Spanish and Llanito, a local dialect.

Tourism, finance, and shipping are key industries. Popular attractions include St. Michael’s Cave, the Moorish Castle, and Europa Point. Despite Spain’s claims, Gibraltarians have repeatedly voted to remain British. With its warm Mediterranean climate, Gibraltar remains a thriving and culturally rich community.

Málaga

Málaga, a coastal city in southern Spain, is the capital of Málaga Province in Andalusia. With a history of over 2,800 years, it is one of Europe’s oldest cities, influenced by Phoenicians, Romans, and Moors. Iconic landmarks include the Alcazaba, Gibralfaro Castle, and the Roman Theatre.

Málaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, with the Picasso Museum celebrating his legacy. The city boasts a warm Mediterranean climate, beautiful beaches, and a lively cultural scene. Its cuisine features fresh seafood, including the famous espetos (grilled sardines). Málaga seamlessly blends history, art, and modernity, making it a top tourist destination.
